Conference Registration
The Illinois Council on Family Relations would like to invite you to the annual conference on Friday, April 24, 2026. This conference will be a full day and hosted at NIU Naperville Conference Center in Naperville, Illinois. Registration includes full day access to the conference, breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
The theme for the ILCFR 2026 Conference is Interdisciplinary Inquiry Taking Root: A Focus on Families, Schools, and Communities. ILCFR is honored to welcome Dr. Dan Wuori as this year’s keynote speaker. With a distinguished career focused on strengthening systems that support families, schools, and communities, Dr. Wuori brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective that aligns directly with this year’s theme. Dr. Wuori is the Founder and President of Early Childhood Policy Solutions, a bipartisan consultancy focused on improving outcomes for young children and their families. He also serves as a Strategic Advisor on Early Childhood to the Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation. In addition to his extensive policy work with governors and state legislators nationwide, Dr. Wuori is known globally for his innovative use of social media to share daily child‑development lessons. His recent book, The Daycare Myth (2024), reached the top of Amazon’s education best‑seller list, and he is currently authoring a forthcoming book, Wonderment: Our First Three Years. Dr. Wuori’s keynote will offer a rich, interdisciplinary perspective aligned with this year’s theme.
The cost for student registration is $60. Early registration for professional members and non-members is $130 lasting until March 1. After March 1, registration for professional members will be $140 and professional non-members $150. Presenters must be registered for our conference in order to present.
