Illinois consists of a wide array of academic programs that prepare students to become future educators, practitioners, clinicians, and other family professionals.In Illinois you can pursue a degree in Family Science both at the undergraduate and graduate degree levels. You can also minor and receive certificates in Family Science.

Currently three programs in Illinois are CFLE approved programs. Family Life Educators have knowledge based in the discipline of Family Science, and they are employed in a variety of settings and roles.
