ILCFR is an affiliate of the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). We are a professional organization that focuses on serving and strengthening individuals, couples, and families throughout the state of Illinois.
Illinois consists of a wide array of academic programs that prepare students to become future educators, practitioners, clinicians, and other family professionals.In Illinois you can pursue a degree in Family Science both at the undergraduate and graduate degree levels. You can also minor and receive certificates in Family Science.
Currently three programs in Illinois are CFLE approved programs. Family Life Educators have knowledge based in the discipline of Family Science, and they are employed in a variety of settings and roles. Also in Illinois there are six programs that are COAMFTE accredited Marriage and Family Therapy programs. For a current list of Family Science academic programs in Illinois visit the NCFR website.
